BuzzTrader — Privacy Policy

BuzzTrader, Inc. ("BuzzTrader", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we may share it, your choices, and how you can contact us.
By downloading, registering for, or using the BuzzTrader mobile application or related services (the "App"), you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide Directly
Account & Onboarding Data. When you create an account or complete onboarding we may collect your name (optional), email address, trading experience level, market preferences, and other profile preferences that help personalize your experience. Providing preferences is optional, but skipping them may limit personalization.
Support Communications. If you contact support we collect the information you provide (e.g., email, message contents) to respond and resolve issues.
Payment Information. If you purchase a subscription or paid feature, payment is handled by our third-party processor; we do not store full card details on our servers (see “Third-Party Services” below).
b) Content You Upload
Chart Images & Files. The App may allow you to upload chart screenshots, images, or other files to generate insights or personalized analysis. By uploading you retain ownership of the file, but you grant BuzzTrader the limited license described below (see How We Use the Data and Model Training & Research).
You Control Uploads. You choose whether to upload files; uploads are not required to use basic features.
c) Automatically Collected Data
Usage & Analytics. We collect data about how you interact with the App (features used, session duration, crashes, device information such as OS and device model, and performance metrics). We use this data to improve the App, fix bugs, and understand usage patterns.
Technical Information. IP address, device identifiers, app version, and basic diagnostics.
d) Cookies & Similar Technologies
If you use any web components or our website, we and our partners may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for analytics, authentication, and improving user experience. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings, though disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for purposes including:
Providing, operating, and improving the App and related services.
Generating and personalizing Insights, research summaries, alerts, and notifications.
Processing user uploads to produce on-demand analysis.
Communicating with you about your account, subscriptions, and product updates.
Fraud prevention, security, and compliance with legal obligations.
Aggregated analytics and product development.
Chart images and uploaded content: By default, the App processes uploads in memory to produce the requested Insight and does not persist those files. If you opt into contribution (see below), or where required for troubleshooting, legal compliance, or billing disputes, we may retain uploads for a limited period.
3. Model Training, Research & Aggregation
BuzzTrader uses automated AI models to analyze news and uploaded content. We may:
Use de-identified, aggregated data and user interactions to improve, evaluate, and develop our models and services.
Offer an explicit opt-in in-app setting to contribute your de-identified content to model training. You will be asked for consent before any personal or identifiable data is used for training.
Remove or avoid using plainly identifiable personal information in model training unless you explicitly consent.

4. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers. We share data with vendors who help provide the App (hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, crash reporting). These providers are contractually bound to use data only to provide services to BuzzTrader.
Legal & Safety. We may disclose information to comply with laws, respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BuzzTrader, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the business transaction (out of scope sale of personal information will be subject to applicable law).
Aggregated/De-identified Data. We may share or publish non-identifiable aggregated analytics and research.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Account Data. We retain your account information for as long as your account exists and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and for dispute resolution.
Uploads. By default, uploaded chart images are processed and not stored long-term. If retained for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, or because you opted into model training, they are kept only as long as necessary for those purposes.
Backups & Logs. Some usage data, logs, or backups may persist in archived systems for a limited period.
Deletion requests: You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us (team@boring---builds.com). We will verify your request before taking action. Please include your account email and a description of the request. We may retain certain information as required by law.
6. Your Choices & Controls
Account Settings. You can update profile info and preferences in the App.
Opt-Out of Research & Model Training. If you do not wish your data (including uploads or usage signals) to be used for model training or research, disable the relevant toggle in Settings or contact team@boring---builds.com. Note: opting out may limit our ability to personalize or improve models for your use.
Marketing Preferences. You can opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting support.
Device Controls. You can manage notifications, cookies, and other device permissions through your device settings.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information in a way that creates a real risk of harm, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
8. International Transfers
BuzzTrader is based in the United States (or your chosen company jurisdiction). Your information may be processed or stored in other countries. When data is transferred internationally we use contractual safeguards and other legally recognized mechanisms to provide appropriate protections.
9. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use the App with parental or guardian consent as required by local law. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child in a manner inconsistent with this policy, we will take steps to delete that information.
10. Legal Bases (for EU/EEA users)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal bases for processing personal data include performance of a contract (providing the App), legitimate interests (improving services, fraud prevention), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required (for marketing or optional research contributions). You may have additional rights under GDPR—see Your Choices and contact us for any requests.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, and disclosure of personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at team@boring---builds.com and provide required verification information.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or email and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
